Housed inside the Benedictine abbey of Santa Maria de Montserrat, the Museu de Montserrat is home to the collection of Catalan art from the 19th and the 20th-century painters. However, the featured collection is housed in the older part of the museum which is to the left of the church. These include artifacts from Roman and Byzantine empire as well as Neolithic and Egyptological collection.
