Long Island Maritime Museum

There are many maritime-themed museums on Long Island, due to its rich nautical history, but this is one of the biggest and most comprehensive. It covers many different areas including shipwrecks, the sea-life of Long Island, recreational fishing, small boats - and so much more. You can get up close and personal with the 1888 Oyster Sloop Priscilla, learn about oyster catchers, and check out the maritime library. School tours are also available.
