Stadtmuseum Siegburg is built on the site of the time-worn Humperdinck House, named after the noted English musician Engelbert Humperdinck. Located on Markt strasse, it was established in the year 1990 and occupies a prominent spot in the marketplace. The house was originally built in the year 1826 and was used by the local school. Divided into four spaces, the museum demonstrates the eventful history of the city dating back to the days of antiquity till today. Some of the exciting displays include artifacts portraying the development of the city's landscape over the centuries and the discoveries of archaeologists. A separate section in the museum is dedicated to the works and life of Engelbert Humperdinck.
