Pfarrkirche Mariä Himmelfahrt is the parish church of Fürstenzell. The church dates back to the 14th Century and was the church of the Cistercian abbey. Two architects, Joseph Matthias Götz and Johann Michael Fischer worked on the church's restoration in the 18th Century. The church features rich interiors with beautiful frescoes and high altar painted by Tyrolean Johann Jakob Zeiller. The church also houses the monument of Abbot Pankratius, created by sculptor Jürgen Gartner.
