Administrative and agricultural hub for the French department of Aveyron in the Midi-Pyrénées, the city of Rodez has come a long way from its discovery in 5th Century BCE by the Celts. Rodez is also becoming home to specialized art museums, such as the Denys Puech modern art museum and the Soulages museum. Another famous structure is the city’s Notre-Dame cathedral has been modified throughout the years and now contains design elements from the 13th to 17th Centuries.
