The Theater am Saumarkt - Theater at the Pigmeat Market (where the name historically comes from) was founded in 1977 and is managed by the Association Culture group Feldkirch - Betreiberverein Kulturgruppe Feldkirch. Contemporary themes, premieres and in-house productions are a main part of the Culture Group. There are also other events like jazz concerts, musical literature, cabaret, children's theater, puppet shows and more. Children and youth from 6 to 20 years of age that are interested in acting are welcome to join the various theater groups that participate in well-known plays like Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, improvisational theater and original productions.
