Elliott Hall of Music situated on the campus of Purdue University plays host to a wide range of classical, as well as contemporary concerts throughout the year apart from various collegiate programs like convocation, orientation programs for first-year students, lectures and even examinations. This venue first opened its door to the public in 1940 and was called Purdue Hall of Music. This concert hall got its current name only in 1958 and is named after the longterm president of Purdue University Mr. Edward C. Elliott. Elliott Hall of Music is home to the Purdue All-American Marching Band.
