Once a holy cloister, Théâtre Jean-Deschamps was converted to the open air theater it exists as today. Functional since 1908, this theater has staged everything from high tragedies to colorful music to mesmerizing operas. It is even the venue for annual theater and art festivals that take over the entire area including the Carcassonne Festival that happens every July.
