Built around 70 A.D., this magnificent Roman amphitheater served as the venue for many glorious events. The heroes of this stage were gladiators and famed bull fighters who marked victories here with their own blood. The amphitheater includes an elliptical ring surrounded by 34 rows of seats and can accommodate over 16,000 people. Reworked in 1989, the amphitheater now includes a movable cover and in built heating system. Bull fights and various cultural events are still organized here.
