Muziekcentrum De Bijlok was built in the 13th Century as a huge hospital and is a fine example of medieval architecture in the continent. This is where the main stage, Concertzaal is housed. The Kraakhuis was a smaller clinic compared to the earlier one and was built in the 1500s. While the Library and Auditorium was an anatomy museum and classroom in the 19th Century. This musical complex is known for its excellent acoustics and performances by top artists from all over the world. It is also the home of the Gent Jazz Festival.
