Die Drostei

Die Drostei is one of the best examples of Rococo architecture in Germany. This magnificent brick structure was constructed between 1765 and 1767 and is a Grade II listed heritage structure. For a long time, it was the Droste County seat, then served various other uses before being converted into a cultural center in 1991. Today, it is a hub for soulful chamber music from the Baroque and Renaissance periods. It is also a favorite with art lovers and critics for its unique exhibitions in both fine art and photography. There are several workshops for children in craft, literature and chamber music. You can also hire part of the venue for hosting ultra-stylish banquets and musical events.
