The Stadttheater in Emmerich was originally intended to be used as a school assembly hall, but the idea was dropped. Instead, the space became a full-fledged theater and opened its doors in 1968. The theater puts on productions of musicals, plays, and operas. The theater also has smaller rooms that can be rented for product presentations, meetings and conferences.
