St. Bartholomäus-Kirche is a historic Evangelical church which dates back to the 12th and 13th Centuries. The original church, which was a mix of the Gothic and Romanesque styles, burned down in the 18th Century, leaving behind only its outer shell. The interior was redone in Baroque, thereby creating a beautiful and unique mix of architectural styles. Noteworthy features of this church include its tall tower capped with an onion-shaped dome, the stone baptismal front and the opulent Baroque choir pew. With its lovely acoustics, the church is host to a number of classical and contemporary music concerts.
