Founded in 1868, the Rennbahn Hoppegarten is a historical racecourse that still hosts amazing horse races. The first race at Galopprennbahn Hoppegarten included Otto von Bismarck, the German Chancellor and Prime Minister, as well as King Wilhelm I of Prussia. The racecourse was damaged during World War II; however, it was renovated and now some of its buildings are protected historic sites. This is a great place for an outing with friends or family - you can even bring a picnic as you watch the races. Enthusiasts can join the Racing Club with facilities like VIP terrace seats and indulge in betting. The sprawling area filled with lush grass catches the eye from a distance, with the facility for visitors to stand close to the tracks as well as sit and enjoy in the stands. Neatly combining history, culture, sports and a strong sense of family, this racecourse can be termed as jack of all trades.
