Charleston Civic Center serves as a multi-faceted venue in the heart of city, featuring an eclectic program of conferences, concerts, seminars and key sports events. First built in the year 1959, it underwent several design and structural changes over the years. The civic center incorporates the Grand Hall, Little Theater and the Coliseum. The venue also plays host to an array of yearly fairs and festivals, including the likes of Capital City Arts & Crafts Fair and West Virginia International Auto Show, to name a few. Basketball league tournaments, wrestling events and other athletic programs are also organized at the Charleston Civic Center.
