The Racecourse stadium is the football ground that is known throughout the world and has featured in many global record including the Guinness World Records as being the oldest football ground in the world. The stadium drew its first crowd way back in 1872 and has since then been the heart of football action. The stadium has in its history has been a the venue for horse racing , then cricket and today is the home of the local favorites Wrexham FC. Being the biggest stadium in Northern Wales, it can hold 10,500 fans but this exploded to nearly double for the match against Manchester United in 1957. Apart from football, the Racecourse is also used for rugby and as a concert venue.
