Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, located a short walk away from the Sendagaya station in Tokyo's Shibuya ward, is a massive sporting complex that was constructed in 1954 for the World Wrestling Championship. The venue also hosted multiple gymnastic events of the Summer Olympics of 1964. The indoor arena has a seating capacity of 10,000 and hosts various international sporting events like tennis tournaments, volleyball, karate and skating championships. The Japan Waterloo Championship is also held here. The indoor swimming pool is one of the best in the city.
