The China National Convention Center (CNCC) was inaugurated in August 2008, for the Beijing Summer Olympics. The spectacular Olympic events unfolded at this venue and enthralled spectators and viewers worldwide. The massive center covers an area of 2,70,00 square meters. The imposing building, made of glass, stands in the midst of a huge arena that is used for sporting extravaganzas. The excellent media facilities in the center are truly commendable. The Fencing Hall is a special attraction within the convention center. Post the Olympics, the center also began to be used as an exhibition center.
