Cathedral Square Salzburg

Domplatz Salzburg appears enclosed due to its prime location that features the Salzburg Cathedral to the west, and squares to the south and north. At the center of the Domplatz Salzburg is a Mariensäule, a column that bears a figure of the Virgin Mary. Besides being a major landmark, the Domplatz Salzburg is also a famous events venue.
