La Jolla

The name has a Spanish touch to it and the ambiance is equally free spirited and joyful. The sea side resort community, though officially is a part of San Diego, retains its name for mailing addresses and also has its own phone book. The coastline, lined with sandy and rugged geography, makes for great outdoor recreation. The Scripps institute of Oceanography and many Biotechnology companies, second largest in terms of numbers in the country, are found here. Gregory Peck, the actor was born here. The term "naturally beautiful" fits the place perfectly.
