Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre

Located in Vancouver the UBC Thunderbird Arena is one of the main hockey arenas in Canada and was the birthplace of Canadian hockey when the national team was formed in the early 1960s. It has excellent facilities for both players as well as fans. The arena has played host to a number of domestic as well as international events. Besides this they also have numerous other events for the community and the city. Exciting women's hockey games were hosted here during the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
