Autódromo José Carlos Pace is named after Brazilian Formula One Driver José Carlos Pace. Earlier it was known as Interlagos. A circuit of 4.31 kilometers (2.5 miles) with 15 turns runs through the track. It was originally constructed around 1936, but it has seen several changes in the layout of tracks over the years. The uneven terrain of the track makes driving here a challenge for all motor racers.
