The Ray Lavietes Basketball Pavilion at the Briggs Athletic Center or the The Lavietes Pavilion has witnessed many interesting games of men's and women's basketball at the Harvard University. Apart from basketball games, sportsmen from baseball, athletics and other sports persons also come here for practice and games. The Pavilion has a capacity of 2,195 seats. It was earlier known as the Briggs Athletic Center, named after LeBaron Russell Briggs, for his contribution as President of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Later, in 1996, it was renamed after Ray Lavietes, a long-time contributor to University basketball.
