Throughout two large rooms of high ceilings, various exhibits of the San Diego Air and Space Museum portray the history of flight. Both rooms consist of models of airplanes that hang from the ceilings; mannequins of past aviators; artifacts of the history of aviation; and signs to allow self-guided tours. In the second room, three six-minute videos tell the story of flight, and how we got to where we are today. The rooms are separated by a large courtyard, patterned by walkways and plants, which is available for corporate functions, weddings, and various other events. Docent guided tours are available by reservation for groups of ten or more and school groups for grades three and up.
