All those visiting Bethesda Terrace can look forward to that iconic fountain with the Angel of the Waters perched atop. It is the only public commissioned sculpture in the park and it was the first given to a woman, Emma Stebbins. The fountain can be viewed from the Terrace and it is perfectly situated right in front of the lake. A superb place to enjoy the outdoors; right nearby you can rent boats at the Loeb Boathouse or hop on a horse drawn carriage. The entire terrace exudes a romantic appeal that surely rejuvenates the tired brains of New Yorkers, as well as wedding couples taking photos.
