Financed by T. S. Hogan and opened in 1929, the Yucca Theater has been hailed as one of the most beautiful theaters in Texas. The building itself is a thing of wonder with its Gothic structure with a two tier balcony and Egyptian decor. The Yucca has been used for both movie and theater productions. The Yucca now houses a variety of performances by the Midland Community Theater and plays host to its annual Summer Mummers.
