In medieval times, groups of Christian players would travel from town to town putting on mystery plays drawn from the Gospels. This theatre, founded originally for much the same purpose as the medieval troupes, carries that tradition brilliantly well, first as a street theater troupe and now as a permanent establishment. Now located in a beautiful building on Coronado Island, the theater also puts on performances at many other venues in San Diego. Performance times vary; call for current schedule. No children under five years old allowed please.
