The Sottile Theatre is situated in the College of Charleston. Built in 1927, this was the largest theater in the whole of South Carolina. At the present, well-scripted plays are showcased against the backdrop of side archways, with ornamental ironwork, and a domed ceiling, made to look like shining stars. It is also one of the homes of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. This classic theater features a grand lobby on the second floor, providing spectacular views of George Street. The theater ensures that students and visitors have a great time with the performing arts events and diverse programs held here.
