Founded in 1980, Museum of Chinese in the Americas (MoCA), is a sort of time-turning machine. From the time you enter the century-old school building, you are not only a spectator going through the ancient artifacts but also feel as if you are a living part of the very fascinating Chinese culture. From old restaurant menu's, newspapers, library materials to pictures and even sign-boards; everything re-creates the history of these immigrants. The management does not treat the generation-old mementos as mere muses but the aim here is on preserving the history and culture of Chinese and their descendants in the Western hemisphere. The exhibitions are recommended for an insight to the rich heritage.
