Frequently shortened to merely Halton Arena, this indoor sports center serves as the home of the Charlotte 49ers men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams. Located on the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the stadium was named after a former CEO of a Charlotte Pepsi bottling company and opened in 1996. The 9,305 capacity arena was also the location of the 2005 Conference USA women's basketball tournament.
