Look for the hand painted wooden sign off Topanga Canyon Boulevard. The Theatricum is a rustic, quaint, yet comfortable theater hidden in the mountains of Topanga. Throughout the year, it has performances in its actor and playwright studio. When you first arrive, it feels like summer camp, until you see the cabin like Hamlet Hut (concession stand). The main theater, like a wide draw bridge, traverses a dry creek bed. The seats are built into a canyon wall and shows play under stars, the moon, oak trees, and strong smelling eucalyptus. Bring a picnic and hike around the grounds before your show.
