The finest and the best from the music and the theater world have performed at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts. Located at the University of Connecticut, the center was opened in 1955 and has been a cultural hub for the city. The Jorgensen Center even hosts children's theater which provides entertainment for the whole family. The center is also the home of the Jorgensen Gallery on the ground floor and the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre.
