With a grand, towering reddish brown structure, Grand Central Hall is reminiscent of Liverpool's great history. It was opened in the year 1905. Until 1939 the Liverpool Philharmonic played at Central Hall. 2006 onwards, the hall has been developed into a shopping center with a variety of boutique and retail outlets. It is also sometimes referred to as Quiggins since many of the shops here belong to the former Quiggins shopping center in School Lane. This is a great place to be and there is enough to keep you busy.
