Constructed in 1854 on what was once a prison, Teatro Verdi is now the home of the renowned Orchestra della Toscana. In addition to chamber music concerts, the venue plays hosts to a variety of performing arts and events including drama, operetta, pop, and jazz performances as well as film premieres and conventions. This space has undergone three major renovations, since 1950 but maintained its classic Italian style with red velvet curtains, ornate ceilings and six levels of loges.
