This large, multi-purpose stadium can accommodate over 27,958 spectators. Constructed in 1933 for the FIFA World Cup 1934, it was originally called Stadio Mussolini after the Italian dictator. But post World War II, it was renamed the Stadio Olimpico. This was also the time it hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2006 Olympic Games. The stadium is one of the top event hosts for big matches especially in the European League and is the home of Juventus (only for this season 2010-11) and Torino, the two top soccer teams of Torino. It also attracts huge crowds thanks to its excellent facilities and also the players who come to play here.
