A long history goes into the making of the 2,477 seater Embassy Theatre, formerly known as the Emboyd Theater. Built in 1928, running cinema shows were the theatre's only bread and butter then. But a couple of decades later, the dough was missing, and a temporary shut–down followed. In the nineties, the Embassy regained its lost glory, complete with shiny Spanish renaissance style interiors. Now movies are a no-no - instead traveling broadway acts and renowned plays have taken over.
