Home to the Colorado Bird Observatory, this park is an ornithologist's dream. More than 350 species of birds have been seen in the park including white pelicans, great blue herons, owls, and eagles. Guided nature hikes and evening astronomy classes are some of the many interpretive programs featured at the park's nature center. Considering the big boats cannot come here, it is the perfect place to bring the canoe. Make use of the trails, picnic areas, and boardwalks as you soak up nature.
