After close to three decades of catering to the sweet cravings of young and old, Rick's Dessert Diner didn't close despite much competition. Instead it was forced to move into a larger space to keep up with the burgeoning demand for the its delicious creations. Using fresh ingredients and the tried and tested recipes that made Rick's famous from the get go, this 50s-style eatery serves up over 285 dessert varieties with everything from pies, cheesecakes and tarts, to classic cakes to choose from. Black and white checkered floors, pink neon lights and booths make up the decor, while towering layered cakes and pies of every kind vie for your attention from behind the glass confines of a well-stocked display case. Generously proportioned and packed with flavor, a single slice of German chocolate cake or apple pie is hearty enough to constitute a meal.
