Le Mat or the Snake Village as the name suggests is a suburb that is popular owing to snakes. The traditional occupation being snake-catching, there are several restaurants here that serve exotic dishes with snake as the core ingredient; it also has special wines made from cobra blood. And, it is certainly not for those who are weak hearted, the waiters actually kill a cobra on the spot and present its beating heart along with some wine. But, all those who like to savor out-of-the-world and unique dishes, a visit to this village is a must.
