This little experimental stage has been associated with sophisticated children's theater and plays for adults for almost 20 years. The successful ensemble tours the world, but also frequently invites its Flensburg audience to a presentation. The theater alone is worth a visit: it is nicely located in a courtyard behind a cobblestone lane. The front building has been put under a preservation order, and was carefully renovated by the theater owners. In former times it used to have a traditional pub and restaurant within its walls. It first served as a typical seamen's pub, where a pool billard like game was played - pilkentafeln. Later on, it was a popular day trip location for the people of Flensburg, who set across by boat from the western side of the harbour. Back then, the premises still reached down to the banks of the firth. theater can be experienced right in front of the audience here, as the little hall only seats about 50 people who sit face to face with the actors. And in the small glass foyer you can have a chat with the actors and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or a glass of wine.
