East Riddlesden Hall is situated one mile from Keighley, and about one and a half hour's drive from York. Adults will enjoy the impressive history of this fine establishment, which was bought by James Murgatroyd as a gift for his son John in 1631. Here you'll find a 16th century oak barn and a collection of Yorkshire oak furniture on view along with other historical treasures. For the children there are costumed tours depicting life in the 17th century, and there are special events throughout the year including puppet and circus shows. There is also a tearoom and a gift shop. For information on visiting hours, call ahead.
