Sir Thomas Blamey Square, Russell, ACT, Australia, 2600
This war memorial, also known as the Australian-American War Memorial, comprises an eagle on a podium towering over Canberra. It was unveiled by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1954. The memorial commemorates the soldiers who fought on behalf of the United States, an Australian ally, during World War II. Have a moment of peace here and pay your respects to the past.
