In 1998, Atlanta's Hartsfield International overcame Chicago's O'Hare to win the distinction of the planet's busiest airport. World headquarters for Delta Airlines, the airport also serves as a major hub for most domestic and international carriers. Located about ten miles (16 kilometers) south of downtown, the best way to access Hartsfield is through MARTA, which runs trains every five minutes between the terminal and the downtown (Five Points) station on weekdays, every 10-15 minutes on weekends.
