Doktor Franz Müller Strasse 3, Tourismusverband MondSeeLand, Mondsee, Austria, 5310
Heading east from Salzburg on the motorway will take you to the Mondsee (Moon lake). The drive will take you about 20 minutes. The narrow road that winds around the lake is partly into the rocks and you will also have to drive through tunnels. The road on the southern banks of the lake is often closed because of the danger of rock falls. It dominates the landscape and was renovated a few year ago. A nice village, also called Mondsee is located at the northern end of the lake. Conferences and special events are often held here and the visiting the Mondsee is a good way to spend half a day.
