Every day, thousands of tourists stream across Charles Bridge with barely a glance at the small church on the Old Town sidea baroque pearl in a city replete with baroque treasures. Superbly designed, the copper-domed church dates from the 1680s and was designed by Jean Baptiste Mathey. Concerts are held here daily at 8pm. The programs are all of baroque music. The performers are probably of a better standard than those who usually play at tourist concerts, and often include members of the Czech Philharmonic, Prague Philharmonic Choir and other professional ensembles.
