Dunphail, Forres, United Kingdom, IV36 2QN
Set deep in the picturesque Findhorn valley, Logie Steading offers a rich and varied assortment of local crafts, art, and fine Scottish fare. Originally built as a model farm in the 1920s, the steading houses an Art Gallery featuring contemporary works including prints and sculpture; the 'Wee' Property Centre features Dolls Houses and Miniatures; The Clay People - run by a sculptor/potter for 10 years - offers an unusual selection of kitchenware, herb wall pots, flutes and collectible sets; Giles Pearson crafts traditional country furniture and chairs; Neil Oliver Engraving specializes in hand engraved gold and stone seals; and Rosie Logan offers a wide selection of picture frames and a picture framing service. All this - and MacNaughtons Tearoom (try the home-made soups!) - can be found within the Logie Steading grounds, a pleasant way to spend a few hours and be tempted, perhaps, with some local treasures.
