Court Theatre

Established in 1971, The Court Theatre is New Zealand's leading professional theater company. The Court stages plays throughout the year, with a program that includes classical and contemporary, comedy and drama, as well as work by international and New Zealand playwrights. Following the 2011 Christchurch Earthquake, The Court Theatre has relocated to a purpose-built venue from which to resume performances. The new theater seats 388 in a comfortable yet intimate setting, with a spacious foyer including bar and coffee facilities.
