Wattens, with a wonderful view of the Karwendel mountains, is also home to the Swarovski company, one of the leading manufacturers of crystals and jewelry in the world. Swarovski Kristallwelten, a museum dedicated to the company and its manufacturing process, is one of the prime attractions in the city. The typewriter museum and the local museum are also worthwhile stopovers when in the city.
