Controversial and weird are the two words that will come to mind when you think about the Body Worlds Museum - Anatomy of happiness. If you are curious about how it works, then, this repository is indeed an eye-opener. The spotlight is on their 200 rare exhibits (real corpses preserved through a process called plastination - where the fat and water content is removed and reintegrated by polymers), which are kind of a high-end version of mummification. These include organs too, giving an insight into its importance and the body's mechanisms. The brainchild of a doctor couple, Dr. Gunther von Hagens and Dr. Angelina Whalley, the museum is also about preventive healthcare. They also have exhibits of animals such as elephants, gorilla, giraffe and shark. The interactive stations attached to each of their displays makes it even more interesting. What makes it even more intriguing are the different postures that these cadavers exhibit such as dancing and playing football!
