TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING, PRACTICAL INFORMATION
United States Military Academy was built in 1802 and is one of the oldest training centers for military services. The former fort which was converted into a training academy and college, trains cadets for military combat. The massive campus also has the West Point Museum, open to public. It houses artifacts like George Washington's pistols, Napoleon Bonaparte's sword, the gold platted pistol of Adolf Hitler and many other military artifacts.
